Yup! You read right! The amazing book by Lois Lowry will finally be made into a movie. It is expected to be released on 15 august 2014. I can't wait! The next thing on everyone's mind is probably how close to the book the movie will be? Will, close enough according to Jeff Bridges who will be playing the Giver. There are a couple of changes, mainly the age of Jonas, played by Brenton Thwaites, who will be 16 instead of 12 years old. But, fear not, Lowry have worked with the screenwriter and the movie should be "representative" of her vision. I am just glad the book is turning into a movie. Movies give a different dimension to the story that I really like to explore.
